Steve Carr (email)

Steve Carr has been in the insurance field for more then 20 years.  He is a graduate of Oswego State College and is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).  Steve works in the area of personnel lines casualty insurance as well as group products and also specializes in the area of personnel retirement planning.

Steve lives in Chenango Bridge with his wife Pam and their four children.  He is active in the Community Association and coaches youth Baseball.

John Lavo (email)

John Lavo started his Insurance and Financial Service career with John Hancock in 1983. In 1986, he was promoted to manager in the Binghamton District.  In 1993, after a successful ten years with John Hancock both as agent and manager, John started PRL Associates.  John’s professional services to his clients include:

  1. Personal and Business property and casualty insurance
  2. All group benefits including group health insurance, workmen’s compensation and disability
  3. Financial planning services including college funding plans
  4. Retirement analysis and planning
  5. Investment Services
  6. Business continuation and funding techniques

John and his wife Robin reside in Endicott with their four children Joseph, Cassandra, Marcus and John.  John enjoys spending much of his free time coaching youth sports such as basketball, baseball and football.  John Lavo is a proud community supporter through various clubs and school programs and activities such as The Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Western Broome, Endicott Sertoma, Endicott Elks, Endicott Youth Baseball and Endicott Youth Footlball League.

Dennis is a graduate of Iowa State U. and SUNY Cortland's Health Care Planning/Administration programs with a minor in education. He specializes as an Independent agent representing IBN Financial Services. His expertise as a financial advisor for 29 years has earned him the respect of CPA's, attorney's, and business owner's with their most valued commodity... their clients. A variety of innovating companies are available such as U.S. Energy Development and Lightstone Real Estate Trusts. Dennis and his partners, Steve Carr and John Lavo, uniquely blend their financial planning talents as PRL Associates.

Dennis resides in Endicott, NY with his wife Pam and four daughters, Jennifer, Laura, Brenna and Alexis. He has made a commitment to the community from volunteering with the Broome County Special Olympics to coaching girls ages 12-16 in Junior Olympic softball.
